Regional Recognitions for Sarawak Energy
Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen 2019 Award
Sarawak Energy’s efforts on sustainability were recently recognised at a regional level by CSRWorks International, a leading organisation for sustainability. Puan Aisah Eden was awarded the Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen 2019 Award, a recognition for her outstanding contribution to promoting sustainability within and beyond the organisation with unwavering commitment and passion. She was the only recipient of the award from Malaysia this year, and amongst 25 other recipients from across the region including India, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and Singapore.
During her time as Executive Vice President, Corporate Services, Aisah’s leadership was strategic in driving Sarawak Energy’s sustainability agenda, guided by United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) and International Hydropower Association’s Sustainability Assessment Protocol (HSAP), and championing women empowerment focusing on increasing women leadership and women on Boards, as Executive Champion of the Sarawak Energy Leading Women Network (SELWN).
Aisah received the recognition from Rajesh Chhabara, Managing Director CSRWorks International in the presence of Tim Mohin, Chief Executive of Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Summit 2019 held on 4 September in Singapore.
